February. It is
celebrated all
over the
country but
there are two
cities very well
known by their
Carnival
celebrations.
These are
Cadiz and
Tenerife.
3. Cadiz carnival is a celebration of all good things in life.
The streets are decorated in bright colours. The
costumes in Cadiz are dedicated to humour and satire.
The carnival in Cadiz is defined by its music. At any
point you can find musical groups called chirigotas
which sing satirical songs.
4. On the other hand, the carnival in Tenerife is
much more elegant. The island is filled with
fun, color, glitter and glamour, and the
numerous contests, parades and parties
offer plenty of entertainment.
5. In our school we also celebrate the carnival.
This year, our costumes were related to the
cinema. We had a big parade around the
school and we had a very good time.
