Gregg Castano was named President of Business Wire in December 2009. As President, Castano oversees the company's global growth strategy, marketing and communications efforts, and works closely with the CEO on strategic planning and branding. Castano has played a key role in Business Wire's expansion in the U.S. and internationally over the past decade. 1. Gregg Castano
Gregg Castano was named President in December 2009. In this role, Castano remains responsible for the
company's global growth strategy into new international and vertical markets, and expands his involvement
in the company's marketing and communications efforts on the operational level. He serves on the
company's executive committee and works closely with CEO and Chairman Cathy Baron Tamraz on
strategic planning and global branding.
Castano has played a key role in the company's U.S. and international expansion. During the past decade,
Castano lead Business Wire's efforts as it opened offices in London, Brussels, Frankfurt, Paris, Tokyo,
Sydney and Toronto, while establishing a network of reciprocal sales offices throughout Latin America, the
Middle East and Africa.
Castano was most recently Co-Chief Operating Officer, where he was responsible for overall sales strategy
and financial analysis. Prior to that, he served as Executive Vice President, Global Sales. Gregg joined the
company in 1985 and later held several management positions leading up to his appointment as Senior Vice
President, Global Sales in 2001.
Gregg received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from Fordham University, Bronx, New York.
