The Castell Project forms to assist advancement of women professionals in the hospitality industry. The organization will provide leadership development and conduct research. The Castell Leadership Program will launch in the second quarter of 2017, providing essential tools and a customized career development program to help women advance into leadership roles. While women make up 65% of hospitality college programs and 7% of top conference speakers, few hold upper management positions. The goal is to address this imbalance and provide resources major hotel companies lack to develop women leaders internally. The inaugural program includes an individual career plan, assessment, workshop, coaching, networking and membership in the Women in Lodging Leadership Network.
