Activated Carbon For Water Purification
This series of Activated Carbon can effectively reduce certain organic compounds and chlorine in drinking water. It
can also reduce the quantity of lead, dissolved radon, and harmless taste and odour-causing compounds. The
organic substances which are harmful to human health and environment can be effectively removed. Our products
have the technological properties as follows:
1) Low Ash Content
2) Low Floating Rate
3) High Hardness
Powder Activated Carbon
Normally, powder activated carbons (PAC) are made in particulate form as powders or fine granules less than 1.0
mm in size with an average diameter between 0.15 and 0.25 mm. Thus they present a large surface to volume ratio
with a small diffusion distance. With high efficient absorption, PAC is used for disposable recovery treatment of
filling water and industrial water. Further applications are used in refining and decolourization of liquid. Our mesh
specifications range from 30X200 to <325 with different properties and can be supplied as per client’s requirements.
Cylindrical Activated Carbon
Cylindrical activated carbon, also known as pellet carbon, can be supplied from the range of 0.9mm to 9.0mm in
diameter according to client’s requirements. Due to the high mechanical hardness, highly developed pore structure
and huge specific surface area, it can be widely used in both gas and fluid phase purification and absorption. Typical
usage includes air purification, solvent recovery, high purity gas treatment, drinking water treatment, food
processing and pharmaceutical industries.
Granular Activated Carbon
Granular activated carbon has a relatively larger particle size compared to powdered activated carbon and
consequently, presents a smaller external surface. Diffusion of the adsorbate is thus an important factor. These
carbons are suitable for absorption of gases and vapours, because they diffuse rapidly. Granulated carbons are used
for water treatment, deodorization and separation of components of flow system and is also used in rapid mix
basins. GAC can be either in granular or extruded form. Our series of GAC can be produced in various distributions
includes 8X30 mesh, 5X7 mesh, 12X30 mesh, 12X40 mesh, 20x40 mesh.
Palm Kernel Shell
Palm Kernel Shells (PKS) are the shell fractions left after the nut has been removed after crushing in the palm oil mill.
Palm Kernel Shells are a fibrous material and can be easily handled in bulk directly from the product line to the end
use.
Moisture content in PKS is low compared to other biomass residues with different sources suggesting values
between 15% - 20%.
Palm Kernel Shells contain residues of palm oil, which accounts for its slightly higher heating value compared with
other lignocelluloses biomass.
Compared to other residues from the industry, it is a good quality biomass fuel with uniform size distribution, easy
handling, easy crushing, and limited biological activity due to low moisture content.
