Catdrawings save as cdd files.

CATIA V5 does not natively allow saving CATDrawings to CADAM (CDD) files. However, this can be enabled by editing the Environment Editor for the desired CATIA release. Specifically, one must add a new variable called DRW_CCDTOV5 with a value of "Yes", save the modified environment, close and reopen CATIA to make the new "Save As" option for saving drawings as CDD files available.

- 2. 2017 By default CATIA V5 doesn¡¯t have the option to save CATDrawings to cdd files. As you can notice there no such option.
- 3. 2017 In start menu, go to Environment Editor for which release do you want to add the option Save As CATDrawings as cdd files.
- 4. 2017 Select the desired environment and Edit this one.
- 5. 2017 Click on right mouse button and choose New Variable.
- 6. 2017 In the new variable name write DRW_CCDTOV5 and give Value Yes then click YES . Save the modified Environment. Close CATIA if it was open and reopen so modifications in Environment will be available.
- 7. 2017 The new Save As option is now available.
