- 19. Kleeman is fascinated by color and composition, by the possibilities of thread and fabric, by the process itself. Her work does fit the technical definition of a quilt two pieces of fabric enclosing a layer of batting but the results are uniquely her own. The result is something that is beautifully rich in two traditions: that of the quilter, transformed and transfigured, and that of the abstract painter.
