The document outlines seven things a person must do to avoid illness: 1) speak your feelings to avoid stress-related diseases, 2) make decisions to reduce anxiety, 3) find solutions to problems instead of letting them grow, 4) don't live by appearances and be your true self, 5) accept yourself to boost self-esteem, 6) trust others for meaningful relationships, and 7) have a sense of humor to spread joy and health. Following these principles is said to result in an overall positive, healthy lifestyle.
The document summarizes the work of Liz Savage and Susan Mileto in researching open source tools for instructional designers and creating a resource book for their client, Greg Walsh. They explored a variety of open source tools for graphics, audio, video, page layout and more. They wrote descriptions of each tool, created tutorials, and shared their work through Google Docs to collaborate remotely. Their goal was to broaden their knowledge of open source e-learning tools and enhance their own instructional practice.
The document describes a person's daily routine, which includes waking up at 4:50 am, showering and getting dressed, eating breakfast, leaving home at 5:50 am to pick up a friend and go to school, returning home at 1:00 pm, doing chores and working until 7:00 pm, having dinner with their dad, getting ready for bed, and going to sleep.
This document summarizes Nicholas Carr's 2008 article "Is Google Making Us Stupid?" which argues that the internet is changing how people read and process information. It presents an experiment where students had trouble concentrating while reading online. However, there is little scientific evidence so far to support Carr's claims. The document also discusses how search algorithms and Google's dominance shape the way people find and consume information on the internet.
Expression of bmp2 in epithelial ovarian cancer.Evert Cotes
?
This study aimed to determine the expression levels of bone morphogenetic protein-2 (BMP-2) and its receptors (BMPRIA, BMPRIB, BMPRII) in epithelial ovarian cancer, benign ovarian tumors, and normal ovarian tissue. The researchers found that mRNA and protein levels of BMP-2, BMPRIB, and BMPRII were significantly lower in ovarian cancer tissue compared to benign ovarian tumors or normal tissue, but BMPRIA levels did not differ. Lower expression of these proteins was associated with poorer five-year survival rates in ovarian cancer patients.

What is at the heart of all the activities you do at work?
1. Observation and Action
2. Story Telling
During this talk I was invited to share with the HCI students at Oregon State University, School of Computer Science real examples of work, prototypes and design that was provoking questions as much as it was answering them.
Two steps include making observations to arrive to insights. Then make an assertion by building. Everything afterwards is test, tweak, test, tweak ...

The AAA Foundation was established in 1947 as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit research affiliate of AAA/CAA with a North American focus. Its mission is to identify traffic safety problems, foster research for solutions, and disseminate information and education resources, funded through donations. Surveys found Americans and over three-quarters of those surveyed see aggressive driving as a serious traffic safety issue, though nearly half admitted speeding over 15 mph, reflecting a "do as I say, not as I do" attitude. The Foundation's analysis of NHTSA fatal crash data found that as many as 56% of fatal crashes involve unsafe driving behaviors tied to aggression like speeding, reckless driving, or failure to yield.
