The City of Celina, TX is a suburban community located
in the Golden Corridor north of Dallas in Collin County.
The city watched as its southern neighbors experienced
massive population growth, and now stands on the verge of
its own population explosion. While the citys population
is currently just over 9,000, it is expected to more than
triple by 2018, adding over 26,000 new residents. Growth
projections in the next decade are even more staggering,
giving just reason to dub the 2020s the decade of Celina.

Retail recruitment hasnt always been easy for Celina.
Being so close to population mega-centers such as
McKinney and Frisco meant that many retailers and
developers passed over the community to the north.
But while the demographic numbers may have said that
Celina was small, Celina knew they had a substantial
trade area within a 12 minute drive-time, and that
growth would soon follow. Their retail recruitment
strategy was solid; all they needed was third party
validation to paint a clear picture of the community and
where it was going.
