Charles Kim is an assistant professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer
Engineering at Howard University. His research interests include performance
evaluation of air traffic management and operation, situational awareness monitoring for
large network systems, and engineering education.

Dr. Kim received his Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from Texas A
University, and is currently conducting FAA sponsored research on Traffic Management
Advisor (TMA) performance metrics model in which he and his graduate students focus
