                          CentreLearn EMS CE Webinar: Pediatric Ingestions

Accidental pediatric ingestions are problematic throughout the year, but may occur more frequently
around the holidays. This interactive presentation from paramedic and educator Kyle David Bates will
review pediatric assessment, history gathering, and treatment of the poisoned child. Kyle will also discuss
injury prevention techniques that you can employ so this scenario doesnt happen, in addition to the
following:

Objectives:
1. Use a pediatric assessment tool; identify the physiological status of the child.
2. Identify common medications and their symptoms of ingestion.
3. Discuss treatment priorities in the child poisoned as the result of medication ingestions.

                  CentreLearn EMS CE Webinar: Diver Down - SCUBA Emergencies
                           Tuesday, January 8, 2013 Noon - 1:00 PM EDT

Rescue diver, SCUBA instructor, and paramedic, Michael Fraley, will introduce participation in recreation
SCUBA, review the gas laws that impact diving, and explore the pathophysiology of common diving
medical emergencies. Michael will explain prehospital treatment and answer questions about the EMS
management of serious SCUBA emergencies. The CentreLearn blog offers additional information on this
