Stevie Wonder was born blind in 1950 in Michigan. He showed an early interest and talent for music, learning harmonica at age 2 and drums at age 9. He was discovered by singer Ronnie White and signed his first recording contract at age 12. Wonder went on to have immense success in the 1960s and 70s, winning numerous Grammys and producing hit albums and singles. He faced health challenges including a serious car accident but recovered. Today at age 63, Stevie Wonder continues to make music and perform.
