- 4. Emerging issues, challenges and opportunities for engineering relate to internal and external factors. Internally, the decline of interest and enrolment of young people, especially women in engineering is a major concern for future capacity. Most of the students and faculties are against reservation quota system. There is a need of technical tours. Govt. and companie s should improve working conditions and provide adequate salary.
