This document provides information about a workshop on the AI tool ChatGPT for schools. It discusses why teachers should learn about ChatGPT, how they can use it, opportunities it provides, and challenges to be aware of. ChatGPT can be used by teachers to generate content like reading passages and examples, provide translations, and check answers. However, teachers must understand its limitations and ensure content is appropriate. Key challenges are potential academic dishonesty, misinformation, and addiction if not used carefully. The workshop aims to help teachers adapt to these tools to guide students rather than fearing technology.

2. WHY THIS WORKSHOP
As part of our commitment to social responsibility, we are running a TIT Social
Responsibility Initiative (TSRI) program to give back to the society.
Through this program, we undertake various social activities that address important
issues affecting our society.
However, with the emergence of AI Tool ChatGPT, we are now realizing that the way
education is delivered and monitored may undergo significant changes. Therefore,
this year, we have included ChatGPT in our TSRI program and will focus on educating
our stakeholders about its concept, usage, and potential challenges.
3. What is Artificial Intelligence(AI)
Artificial intelligence, or AI for
short, is the simulation of human
intelligence processes by any
processing device.
4. What is ChatGPT ?
CHATGPT is a variant of GPT
(Generative Pre-training Transformer).
GPT Models are Trained.
ChatGPT is Specifically Designed.
5. WHY A TEACHER SHOULD
KNOW ABOUT ChatGPT
The students will soon be utilizing it on a full-
time basis.
As educators, it's important for us to understand
the advantages, risks, and prospects that it brings
to schools.
AI Tool-ChatGPT has been taking the world by storm

19. CREATE MATH PROBLEMS
It's essential to bear in mind that by using ChatGPT to generate math
problems for your students, they might be using or begin using
ChatGPT to solve the same problems. Therefore, staying ahead of them
is crucial.
25. WIIFM FOR SCHOOL PRINCIPALS
Answering Questions:
School principals can ask ChatGPT ANY
QUESTION(S).
Writing Assistance:
Enables principals to create notices, circulars,
advisories, and other written communications
quickly and efficiently.
27. PRECAUTIONS
Be aware of its limitations: ChatGPT is an AI language model that has been trained on a vast
amount of text data, but it is not perfect. Teachers should be aware of its limitations and potential
biases when using it to generate content.
Learn to ask: To obtain accurate answers, it is important to learn how to ask the right questions.
Asking a wrong or unclear question can lead to incorrect and confusing answers.
Verify the output: It is essential to review and verify the output generated by ChatGPT before
using it. Teachers should ensure that the content is accurate, appropriate, and aligns with the
school's values and policies.
Use it as a tool, not a replacement: ChatGPT should be used as a tool to assist teachers in their
work, not as a replacement. Teachers should still exercise their professional judgment and
expertise in all aspects of their work.
28. CHALLENGES BEFORE TEACHERS
One of the main challenges for the
teachers will be to assess students'
progress fairly, as ChatGPT may
make it easier for students to do
their homework and this could
consequently have an adverse effect
on students in learning the concepts
taught in the classroom.
ChatGPT is a freakishly capable tool that landed in their midst with no warning,
and it performs reasonably well across a wide variety of tasks and academic
subjects.
30. OPPURTUNITIES
Don’t FEAR ChatGPT in Schools. Learn to Deal and Teach
With It.
AI tools are either already available or will soon be accessible to students,
implying that they may have started or will start using them in the near future.
Over the next few years, the capabilities of large language models are unlikely to
decrease. Therefore, it is important for us to find ways to adapt to these tools rather
than simply fearing and prohibiting their use.
This adjustment won’t be easy. Sudden technological shifts rarely are. But who better to
guide students into this strange new world than their teachers?
31. HOW CAN WE OFFER ASSISTANCE?
We will be devising strategies to ensure that educators stay
ahead of their students in terms of technology.
We will continue to provide you with updates on the latest advancements in
this particular area.
We kindly ask that you provide us with some brief feedback to help us improve our
work and contribute to the betterment of society.
