1) The economic land concession in Choam Sankae commune had hugely negative impacts on local livelihoods, resulting in 29.62% of households becoming landless and 36.67% holding less than 0.5 hectares.
2) By the end of the study period, only 2-3% of the granted land had been planted and just 1.33% of the local labor force was employed on the plantation.
3) As a result of lost access to land and resources, an estimated 62.5% of households had migrated to find work elsewhere with higher risks and lower incomes.
