Congenital heart disease affects 1 in 100 children born and more than 80% of these children lack access to adequate medical care or assistance near their homes. 30% of children with congenital heart disease require surgery in their first year to survive beyond their first birthday, but heart surgery and proper treatment can reduce mortality rates to as low as 5%. Help CHF aims to provide children with congenital heart disease a chance at a wonderful life through medical care.
