RTE 2009
The Right of Children to Free
and Compulsory Education
(RTE) Act, 2009 has come
into force with effect from 1
April 2010. The Act prohibits
physical punishment and
mental harassment.

harassment to child.
No child shall be subjected to
physical punishment or mental

Whoever contravenes the
