Hours: MONDAY – FRIDAY, 40 HOURS PER WEEK, BETWEEN 07:00 AND 18:30.

Location: DUNDEE
Description of Role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the senior management team at our client’s new day care
nursery in Dundee. Reporting directly to the Director/Business Owner, the successful applicant will
join the team at the planning stage, and will play an integral role in the setting up of the nursery,
and the recruitment of staff. The nursery will have a capacity of 75 children from birth to 5 years
old, as well as out of school club facilities. The successful applicant will have management
responsibility for an eventual 20 staff.
Salary and Hours:
Our client is keen to establish themselves as an industry leader in childcare provision, and this
ambition is reflected in the competitive salary offered. This will be between £22 000 and £25 000
initially, dependent upon experience. Our client is keen to achieve a high level of accreditation from
the Care Inspectorate, and this which will be incentivised through a performance related bonus
scheme available to the management team, payable at the end of year one.
Core competencies required for the role:
ï‚· Minimum SVQ4 in Childcare and Education or equivalent
ï‚· Degree in Childcare & Education, or willingness to work towards
ï‚· Proven track record in people management
ï‚· Demonstrateable competence in meeting the developmental and emotional needs of children
ï‚· Hands on approach to day to day childcare, and willingness to lead by example
ï‚· Strong customer focus, and excellent interpersonal skills, that meets and exceeds the
expectations of parents
ï‚· Self-motivated with ability to work on own initiative
ï‚· Ability to work within the wider team
ï‚· Knowledge of health and hygiene regulations and the nutritional needs of children
ï‚· Ability to effectively manage own time
ï‚· Strong I.T. literacy and numeracy skills
