A local Scottish community in Invergordon received funding to install Christmas lights but needed help planning and implementing the project. Melanie Newdick worked with a local committee to research lighting options, as the town's wide street was not suitable for standard lighting designs. She looked at other UK lighting projects for inspiration and got proposals from suppliers. After consulting the committee and public, Melanie was able to install lights through 80% of the high street within budget using LED lights that require minimal maintenance. The project was delivered on time and under budget.
