Christopher Hosken has over 20 years of experience in public radio as a reporter, anchor, show producer and freelancer. He has worked in both on-air and production roles for numerous public radio stations across the Midwest and Southeast regions of the United States, including WNIJ, WUNC, WFSU and WFAE. Hosken's experience includes originating, researching and producing interviews, stories, documentaries and investigative pieces, as well as hosting a variety of public radio programs and filling in across multiple shows.

WNIJ ¨C Reporter/Anchor Greater Chicago Area, IL (04/07-08/11) Initially wrote and delivered local newscasts while full-time All Things Considered host. Then frequent fill- in host for most every other (NPR, PRI, APM, BBC, CBC) program. Originated, researched, and digitally produced award-winning quick turnaround interviews and stories with accompanying :30 musically scored promos ¨C plus web story versions, graphics, and photos. Crafted local investigative series and documentaries while feeding spots and features to NPR. Adored pitching every drive and gleefully attended voluminous station events. Honestly! Early on, I occasionally assumed ND duties. Sometimes anchored live breaking weather or election night coverage, and served as WUNC¡¯s reporter panelist during a broadcast U.S. Senate debate. After returning from my brief stint in Florida, I was invited back to WUNC as a freelancer and created scads of lucrative, Ira-like fundraising spots and recorded all midday automation breaks. Was also actually paid to euphorically conceptualize, host, and produce a show pilot well-received by PRX. Super swell was my six-month gig as a show producer for WUNC¡¯s daily live interview program The State of Things broadcast statewide. Back in the day, when the show was prerecorded, I got to host and frequently contribute produced interview segments.
