  • #3: Thank you for taking the time to see us, today we would like to go through our part in supporting young people into the workplace. Looking at our agenda I would like to go through The background of what we have done so far How we have helped schools over the last few years What we can do Next steps
  • #4: CIPD Guernsey has been actively involved with education for many years and have supported school. One of the core focus of CIPD is raising the professionalism, championing better work and working lives. CIPD created an initiative in the UK in partnership with a charity called Inspiring the future which encouraged members and individuals to support schools. We picked up that initiative and created our own version here in Guernsey.
  • #5: We have supported education with various initiatives however our core focus has been centred on Presented on preparing CVs Facilitated CV workshops Facilitated mock interviews This has proven the best way that we can help schools
  • #6: When we are approached by a school with a request We ascertain if it is possible as we have other activities which include Events Communication, e bulletin, website, linkedin Special interest groups policy and learning matters We contact our membership to see who is able to help and co-ordinate all the logistics. The main point of contact is Janine Lane who co-ordinates the activity and liaises with educaton
