The document discusses using social media marketing to promote CNIC to its target audience of adolescent football fans. It notes that websites like SportsBible have been very successful using social media marketing, especially on Facebook, where their viral posts have exposed their brand to thousands of people. The document outlines CNIC's plan to create a Facebook page to distribute content and trailers from its website to entice viewers to sign up. It hopes the Facebook page branding and sharing of posts will help promote the CNIC brand and gain fans, and it may use new features like live streaming for football content.
2. Research
Our target audience are adolescents who are huge
fans of football. In my research I discovered that
social media has a huge impact for football fans of
this age. Websites such as the SportsBible have been
massively successful in their marketing on social
media. Many of SportsBibles' posts on Facebook
have gone viral and reached a huge number of
people; specifically adolescents. By the audience
sharing the posts, thousands of people have seen
the SportsBible brand across social media. This
marketing strategy has enabled Sports Bible to
become a well established website to sport fans. We
attempt to do the same concept as it is low budget
marketing that is extremely successful in reaching
our target audience.
3. I have made a Facebook page for CNIC with currently over 1700
people who have liked the page. On the Facebook page I will
include content and trailers from the website. These trailers will
tease the audience and will make them intrigued to watch the rest
of it. This means they must sign up to the website which is our
intention.
The CNIC page will have the logo as the profile picture. This will be
significant in the marketing as the people that share the content
will also be sharing and promoting the page as the 'friends' on
their account will view the brand as well as the post.
This Facebook page will be a huge platform for distribution. On
this page I will be able to release the latest news and information
to the fans. People who enjoy the content will then 'like' the
Facebook page and hopefully become a fan of CNIC. Facebook
have released a new concept which is 'Live streaming' where
hopefully I will be able to upload live footage of potential live
Q&A's, football matches, and football punditry.
