The Founder

Coca-Cola was found in May 1886 by Dr
  John Pemberton
Coca-Cola first arrived here in 1900 when
Charles Candler, son of The Coca-Cola Company
founder Asa Candler, brought a jug of syrup with
him on a visit from the US to England. It was first
sold in the UK on 31 August 1900, but didn't go
on sale regularly until the early 1920s, when it
appeared at outlets around London including
Selfridges and the London Coliseum.

Coca- Cocaine
Pemberton called for five ounces of coca leaf per gallon of syrup, a
significant dose; in 1891, Candler claimed his formula (altered
extensively from Pemberton's original) contained only a tenth of this
amount. Coca-Cola once contained an estimated nine milligrams of
cocaine per glass. In 1903, it was removed.

Does a glass of coke make a tooth
dissolve in a glass of coke over night?
This is a popular urban legend, and totally untrue. Coca-Cola will not
dissolve teeth or meat overnight. There is a small amount of edible
acid present in many foods, including fruit juices, buttermilk and soft
drinks such as Coca-Cola, but these foods are not acidic enough to
harm your body tissues - in fact, your own natural stomach acid is
more acidic. These stories continue to spring up and get recycled
because each new generation finds them hard to ignore, but they
  simply are not true.
