BROAD BAND BAND AND THE BIG SOUTH ORCHESTRA BY KYNDE AND VAN DEN HURK THE PLAN WAS TO DEVELOP A MUSICAL INSTALLATION, WITH YOUNGSTERS FROM THE HOOD, THAT CONSISTED OF A VARIETY OF SMALL MECHANICAL INSTRUMENTS ACTIVATED BY MOTORS AND SOLENOIDS, CONTROLLED FROM MULTIPLE COMPUTERS VIA A NETWORK BASED GRAPHICAL INTERFACE. THIS INSTALLATION WOULD BE AVAILABLE FOR THE AUDIENCE TO PLAY THEIR OWN CONCERT. THE PROJECTS MAIN OBJECTIVE WAS TO ESTABLISH A CREATIVE CO-CREATION PROCESS THAT INCLUDED ENGAGEMENT AND POSSIBLY CO-OWNERSHIP.

BROAD BAND BAND AND THE BIG SOUTH ORCHESTRA COLLABORATION MODEL WE PASSED THE AUTHORITY ON TO THE PARTICIPANTS PARTICIPATORY DESIGN, BOTTOM-UP APPROACH, AND INVOLVEMENT OF THE STAKEHOLDERS THE DESIGNERS CREATED THE OVERALL CONCEPT, THE FRAMEWORK AND INTERFACE FROM USER CENTERED TOWARDS USER DRIVEN
11. CONCLUSION VJACKET , THE USER-CENTERED DESIGN PROCESS WAS A GOOD ATTEMPT TO START FROM, WHEREAS THE USER-DRIVEN PROCESS WAS MORE PROBLEMATIC. BROAD BAND BAND THE COLLABORATION MODEL SHIFTED FROM USER-CENTERED TOWARDS USER DRIVEN AND PARTICIPATORY DESIGN, THE PROCESS WAS EXPERIENCED AS MORE VALUABLE THAN THE FINAL RESULT. FUTURE RESEARCH FURTHER INVESTIGATE THE CORRELATION BETWEEN SUCCESS CRITERION AND COLLABORATION MODELS INVESTIGATE THE CORRELATION BETWEEN (CO-) OWNERSHIP AND COLLABORATION MODELS (PARTICIPATORY DESIGN AND SHARED REPERTOIRE)
