BROAD BAND BAND AND  T  BIG SOUTH ORCHESTRA , COORDINATED BY LARS KYNDE AND MAARTJE VAN DEN HURK  BROAD BAND BAND IS A VARIETY OF SMALL MECHANICAL INSTRUMENTS ACTIVATED BY MOTORS AND SOLENOIDS, CONTROLLED FROM MULTIPLE COMPUTERS VIA A GUI.

VJACKET  PLANNED COLLABORATION  MODEL COMBINED USER CENTERED AND  USER DRIVEN DESIGN [REISS]   DESIGNED IN A MODULAR WAY  CUSTOM MADE VERSIONS  FROM A USER CENTERED APPROACH TOWARDS A USER DRIVEN AND FINALLY TOWARDS A PARTICIPATORY APPROACH
BROAD BAND BAND AND THE BIG SOUTH ORCHESTRA BY KYNDE AND VAN DEN HURK  THE PLAN WAS TO DEVELOP A MUSICAL INSTALLATION, WITH YOUNGSTERS FROM THE HOOD, THAT CONSISTED OF A VARIETY OF SMALL MECHANICAL INSTRUMENTS ACTIVATED BY MOTORS AND SOLENOIDS, CONTROLLED FROM MULTIPLE COMPUTERS VIA A NETWORK BASED GRAPHICAL INTERFACE. THIS INSTALLATION WOULD BE AVAILABLE FOR THE AUDIENCE TO PLAY THEIR OWN CONCERT.  THE PROJECTS MAIN OBJECTIVE WAS TO ESTABLISH A CREATIVE CO-CREATION PROCESS THAT INCLUDED ENGAGEMENT AND POSSIBLY CO-OWNERSHIP.

BROAD BAND BAND AND THE BIG SOUTH ORCHESTRA  COLLABORATION MODEL WE PASSED THE AUTHORITY ON TO THE PARTICIPANTS  PARTICIPATORY DESIGN, BOTTOM-UP APPROACH, AND INVOLVEMENT OF THE STAKEHOLDERS  THE DESIGNERS CREATED  THE  OVERALL CONCEPT,  THE FRAMEWORK  AND INTERFACE  FROM USER CENTERED  TOWARDS USER DRIVEN
CONCLUSION VJACKET ,  THE USER-CENTERED DESIGN PROCESS WAS A GOOD ATTEMPT TO START FROM, WHEREAS THE USER-DRIVEN PROCESS WAS MORE PROBLEMATIC.  BROAD BAND BAND  THE COLLABORATION MODEL SHIFTED FROM USER-CENTERED TOWARDS USER DRIVEN AND PARTICIPATORY DESIGN, THE PROCESS WAS EXPERIENCED AS MORE VALUABLE THAN THE FINAL RESULT.
