The document outlines the color scheme for a music video that will depict both World War II and modern times. It will use dull, plain colors like red, black and white, brown, green, grey, silver, and navy blue to represent the wartime era as these are the colors most associated with World War II and old people. Brighter colors are avoided because they were not widely available during the war due to tight supplies.
2. My Music Video
• My music video is mostly set in World War II times, but some in
modern day.
• They will be wearing old fashioned and as well as modern clothes.
• The story follows an old man looking at a photo remembering
when he was a prisoner of war during World War II.
• The colours will reflect this as they will be dull and plain colours
that best fit this time and theme.
3. My colour scheme
• Red
• Black and white
• Brown
• Green
• Grey
• Silver
• Navy
• Dark Red
4. Why these colours?
• These colours are the first colours people think of when think of
World War II. Most people think of plain, dull colours.
• These are also the first colours people think of when they think of
old people.
• I decided not to use bright colours because these colours were not
available during the war. Money was tight and so was supplies so
people made do with what they could get hold of. The soldiers in
the army, navy and RAF also wore camouflage so that they did not
stand out much, this is represented in my colour scheme.
