1. Under Virtual Field Trips, we had included flash videos for Wagons West, Incredible
Invertebrates and Way Cool Science (2). Any ideas how to insert these into the mix?
Comment: Done
2. Also... I'm reverting back to "tables"... my comfort zone. Under Science Fair we want to
make the elementary and the jr/sr fairs stand out more so I tried to create a table to
"separate" them. (you can look at the wordpress site and see what i did...don't laugh!)
Knowing that I've got 980 px acrosss of the "white box" to work with, is there anyway
you could fix a two-column and a three-column template that I could add to a page?
Don't want things to scroll down "past the fold" as Calleigh put it. Want to take
advantage of the entire box if possible. Just wanted to see the correct way to make
columns without using a table.
Comment: We will create two-column or three-column template using divs, which
ever you prefer and include, so please confirm which one you want.
3. Now for the front page. I am just absolutely lost on changing the information. I know to
go to APPEARANCE - WIDGETS.&nbs p; I see the name of the individual areas over
on the right side column... I sort of see how to change the information, but I don't see
how to add anymore tabs on the right hand side.
Comment: When you go to Appearance Widgets select the individual tab and click
on Black Studio TinyMCE, then you will get the content for the each individual
areas. There you can modify the content. And regarding the next question, we can
add extra sidebars (tabs) by us only, using wordpress php code.
4. For instance... what if we wanted to have 2 columns of information in the white area
(instead of the summer camp one spreading over two columns). If i need more than six
"blocks" how do I add them? I kindof see that you can drag the tabs over to an "inactive"
area to use later (is that correct?)... but ADDING a new tab to the right is just absolutely
escaping me! I really like the dotted horizontal and vertical line... how do I add that?
(Would love to use that on the Science Fair page).
Comment: If you want information area can be divided into two columns so that
now there will be six blocks as you said. And regarding the next question, adding a
new tab and the borders (dotted horizontal and vertical lines) have to be done using
CSS coding, which we will do if you want it.
5. Also... back to the slider at the top. Our plan is to use a jpg that will cover the entire
slider. Any text will be incorporated into the jpg image. So... we NEED the jpg to take
up the entire slider with NO border. Know you'll have to work that from your end, but
I'll need to know the dimensions of the image so I can create them.
Comment: If you want only an image without border for the slider we need to
change the plugin. And the image size should be 650*287 pixels.
6. The Interactive Map - need a few things changed if possible. Can the words and the
BUILDINGS be a hot link to get the info box? The Symmes Hall of Science blurg
doesn't fit the box. Each of the individual buildings on the Living History Farm needs a
link. All of the CLICK HERES in the descriptions don't... Planetarium, Farm, Symmes
Hall of Science and Arboretum.
Comment: We fixed the info box for Symmes Hall of Science, regarding the
Living History Farm will take some time because we need to write CSS code for the
hot links to individual buildings. And regarding Click Heres, we have fixed the
links they are working.
7. Under the HOW TO Tab... the drop down menu is off to the right if you're viewing the
site on a tablet. Can this be nudged over to the left?
Comment: Done
8. Bottom of Page ... Move SITE MAP on the first line of links and move ACCEPTABLE
USE POLICIES to the 2nd line with the rest of the school district links. We need to also
add the Greenville County Schools logo down there somewhere... picture should also be a
hotlink to the school districts website.
Comment: We have moved Sitemap to the first line and Acceptable Use Policies
to the second line and we have placed the Greenville County Schools logo below
these two lines. Please provide the school districts website URL to link to the logo.
