This 3-year project from 2009-2012 aimed to develop community capacity in 5 districts in Sri Lanka through various programs. Key activities included 1800 monitoring visits of youth and women's groups, 204 visits for vocational training programs, and conducting sports, cultural, and special programs targeting youth and women. The project had several officers, assistants, and drivers responsible for implementation across locations. It exceeded its targets for number of activities conducted and vocational training students. The project collaborated with Sri Lankan and American Peace Corps staff.

- 2. CCD Officers Target 1. Conduct total of 1800 Monitoring and support visits on Youth and Women Societies in Kalutara, Hikkaduwa, Galle, Matara and Ampara. 2. Conduct total of 204 monitoring and support visits on Vocational Training in Kalutara, Hikkaduwa, Galle, Matara and Ampara. 3. Conduct total of 204 Sports programmes in Kalutara, Hikkaduwa, Galle, Matara and Ampara. 4. Conduct totals of 300 Competitions for youth & Children (on a topic) in Kalutara, Hikkaduwa, Galle, Matara and Ampara. 5. Conduct total of 300 Cultural Awareness Programmes for Women in Kalutara, Hikkaduwa, Galle, Matara and Ampara.
- 3. 6. Conduct total of 180 Cultural Awareness Programmes for Youth in Kalutara, Hikkaduwa, Galle, Matara and Ampara. 7. Conduct total of 135 Special Youth Society Programmes in Kalutara, Hikkaduwa, Galle, Matara and Ampara. 8. Conduct total of 132 Special Women Society Programmes in Kalutara, Hikkaduwa, Galle, Matara and Ampara. 9. Introduce and link all community activities to the corps officers.
