Community Facility Essay
A wealthy member of your
  community has died and left a
large piece of property and $200
     million to the municipal
           government.
The persons will requires that the
  land and money be used to build a
      facility that will benefit the
               community.

Some popular suggestions that the city
    council has considered are:
A skate park, . . .
A modern art museum, . . .
A botanical garden, . . .
And a correctional facility.
Write an essay to your city council
  explaining how you think the
 money and the land should be
              used.
Include:
 An introduction with a thesis statement
  (giving background information and telling
  the council which choice you prefer.)
 A body with three paragraphs explaining
  three reasons for your choice. Provide
  specific details and examples.
 A brief conclusion with a call to action. After
  presenting your position. What would you
  like the city council to do?
Make sure:

Each body paragraph has a topic sentence
telling specifically what that paragraph is about.
You include at least three references from
outside sources that support your thesis.
You use academic diction and style; and proper
grammar, spelling, punctuation and capitalization.
You stay on topic.
