COMPETENCY PROFILE OF MANAGEMENT GRADUATES
Studying for a business and management studies degree allows
you to developa broad understanding of business organisations
and provides you with subject-specific knowledge in areas such
as markets, customers, finance, operations, communication,
informationtechnology and business policy and strategy.
Management graduates should be able to:
1. An ability to apply knowledge of mathematics, science and
management.
2. An ability to analyze and interpret data
3. An ability to design a system, component or process to meet
desired needs within realistic constraints such as economic,
environmental social, political, ethical, health and safety and
sustainability.
4. An ability to function in multi-disciplinary teams
5. An ability to identify, formulate and solve management
problems
6. An understanding of professional and ethical responsibility.
7. An ability to communicate effectively.
8. The board education necessary to understand the impact of
management solutions in a global, economic, environmental
and societal context.
9. A recognition of the need for and abilityto engage in lifelong
learning.
10. A knowledge of contemporary issue and An ability to use
the techniques skills and modern tools necessary for
managerial practice.
11. Conduct investigations by using research based knowledge
and methods including design of experiments, analysis and
