Eco-maps are diagrams that illustrate an individual's relationships within their environment. They are used in social work and nursing as a counseling tool to identify both social and environmental systems of support and influence. The eco-map can help assess these connections as either positive or negative influences, as well as strong or weak, through lines and arrows. Mapping these relationships makes it easier to trace the sources of different emotions or conditions.
