This document outlines computer usage guidelines for students and teachers. It instructs them to locate and inspect assigned laptops or desktops for damage, report any issues to the teacher, and have the teacher log any damaged equipment. At the end of each class period, students should log off desktops and shut down laptops completely for charging. Teachers will inspect computers before storage and may take laptop carts to the storage room.
7. Notification Teacher will place the Computer Number/Problem sheet on the library media specialist’s desk at the end of the day.
8. Check-In Desktops – original log-in screen should appear. At the end of the class period, log-off.
9. Check-In Desktops – For the last class period of the day, power off the computers completely (screens should be totally black).
10. Check-In Laptops – shut down completely so they will recharge (screens should be totally black – lights located on the front edge of the laptop will be off).
11. Check-In Inspection Desktops – Teacher will do a quick walk around the computer lab to inspect for new damage or unplugged connections.
12. Check-In Inspection Laptops – Open your laptops for inspection after you walk your computer to the mobile cart.
13. Storage Laptops – Place in the correct slot. Laptops – Plug-in to charge.
14. Storage Laptops – Teachers ONLY may take the mobile carts to the library storage room.
