Computer Guidelines Laptop and Desktop Usage
Distribution Locate the computer which has been assigned to you.
Inspection Check laptops/desktops for damage immediately.
Inspection Report damage directly to the teacher.
Documentation Teacher will note computer numbers which are damaged on the assigned class list.
Notification Teacher will place the Computer Number/Problem sheet on the library media specialist’s desk at the end of the day.
Check-In Desktops – original log-in screen should appear.  At the end of the class period, log-off.
Check-In Desktops – For the last class period of the day, power off the computers completely (screens should be totally black).
Check-In Laptops – shut down completely so they will recharge  (screens should be totally black – lights located on the front edge of the laptop will be off).
Check-In Inspection Desktops – Teacher will do a quick walk around the computer lab to inspect for new damage or unplugged connections.
Check-In Inspection Laptops – Open your laptops for inspection after you walk your computer to the mobile cart.
Storage  Laptops – Place in the correct slot. Laptops – Plug-in to charge.
Storage  Laptops – Teachers ONLY may take the mobile carts to the library storage room.
