A management VLAN is designed with a VLAN ID of 10 to isolate management traffic from other VLANs on the network. The management VLAN includes servers that support remote management, as well as devices used by IT support staff like their desktops. The management VLAN traffic is routed through a firewall/router to a core switch using VLAN 60 to access other VLANs as needed while keeping management traffic secure.
