1.2.1 On 21st June 2004, Consulus was founded.
1.2.2 The name Consulus was coined from the word ¡°consul¡± (which refers to
a circle of leaders) and ¡°oculus¡± (which is the Latin word for ¡®eye¡¯, taking
reference to the round opening found in the top of the dome of the
Pantheon in Rome.)
1.2.3 The first Consulus logo was created by former Chairman Mr Gim Lee in
May 2004, inspired by the Chinese character pin , which means ¡°brand¡±. In
2005, we entered into partnership with Cato Partners from Melbourne,
Australia. Our name was changed to Consulus Cato Partners.

1.2.4 In October 2009, Consulus Cato Partners was rebranded simply as
Consulus. The current Consulus logo was designed with the intent of
relating back to the meaning of Consulus, incorporating the elements of
purpose and people, while making it functional enough to express the 3-
State (part of Consulus methodology). Inspired by how Aboriginal people
were depicted in drawings from the top view, the logomark is created from
3 C-shaped symbols to depict 3 people sitting together in a circle. The
invisible space in the middle revealed an arrow pointing towards the right (to
convey a sense of purpose and direction), while each C-symbol represented
a state.
