We are looking for a Scrum Master to join a publisher in London; this is an opportunity to come into a
changing business that is bringing all their development in-house and building agile teams.
They already have an established reputation for driving innovation in technology especially with the
work they have already done with their range of mobile sites and applications.
As Scrum master you will be reporting into the Programme Manager with a deep seated technical
background to ensure maximum collaboration with the technical parties. Ideally this will be across
mobile applications or web.
Responsibilities:
ï‚· Organise and facilitate Scrum ceremonies and ad-hoc meetings
Track and communicate team velocity and release progress
Support the teams' continuous improvement via self-inspection and adaptation
Facilitate discussion and conflict resolution
ï‚· Co ordinate and facilitate daily stand ups, planning of games, showcases and retrospectives
Identify and minimise cross-team dependencies
Maintain sprint integrity keeping both "commitment" and "team" alive
Track and address impediments and issues
Maintain and improve the working environment to support flow
Pro-actively develop tools and processes to minimise waste
ï‚· Through agile processes maintain the visibility of the software progress
ï‚· Experience & Personal Attributes Required:
Certified Scrum Master with demonstrable experience delivering mobile apps
Bachelor's Degree in a Computing related discipline or equivalent commercial experience
Hands-on experience of software development in Agile teams
Personal development or coaching experience
ï‚· A certified Scrum Master qualification or have a consulting background in agile methods
ï‚· Proven experience acting as a Scrum Master across software development.
