Presentazione di Lorenzo Tosi - Agrea - sulla batteriosi del kiwi e il suo contenimento per il convegno della Camera di Commercio di Verona del 3 ottobre 2013: "kiwi 2013/2014: stime di produzione e commercializzazione"
Immune system dysregulation is well-recognized in autism and thought to be part of the etiology of this disorder. The endocannabinoid system is a key regulator of the immune system via the cannabinoid receptor type 2 (CB2R) which is highly expressed on macrophages and microglial cells. We have previously published significant differences in peripheral blood mononuclear cell油CB2R油gene expression in the autism population. The use of the Gc protein-derived Macrophage Activating Factor (GcMAF), an endogenous glycosylated vitamin D binding protein responsible for macrophage cell activation has demonstrated positive effects in the treatment of autistic children. In this current study, we investigated the油in vitro油effects of GcMAF treatment on the endocannabinoid system gene expression, as well as cellular activation in blood monocyte-derived macrophages (BMDMs) from autistic patients compared to age-matched healthy developing controls.
Conclusions
This study presents the first observations of GcMAF effects on the transcriptionomics of the endocannabinoid system and expression of CB2R protein. These data point to a potential nexus between endocannabinoids, vitamin D and its transporter proteins, and the immune dysregulations observed with autism.

The document discusses the UX+DEV Summit and the role of a UX developer. It provides details on Ignacio Garcia-Huidobro's experience and interests. The document then discusses what a UX+DEV summit is and tells a story. It also discusses the UX development process including research, validation, retrospectives, and more. Finally, it lists reasons why a company needs a UX developer, including helping solve technological questions, assisting the designer in prototyping, and understanding both UX principles and technology.
Dixie Holdings filed a derivative lawsuit on behalf of Red Dice Holdings against Medical Marijuana, Inc. claiming breach of the Red Dice Operating Agreement. Medical Marijuana filed a petition to compel arbitration based on an arbitration clause in the Operating Agreement. Dixie opposed the petition, arguing the clause did not apply because the suit was derivative. Medical Marijuana replied that the suit was essentially between the two members, and so was subject to arbitration under the agreement. Medical Marijuana also provided context regarding the business disputes between the parties leading up to the litigation.
Dixie Holdings filed an ex parte application seeking an extension of time to respond to Medical Marijuana Inc.'s petition to compel arbitration. Medical Marijuana Inc. opposed the application, arguing that Dixie is actually seeking relief from default as its time to respond had expired over two weeks prior. Medical Marijuana Inc. argued that Dixie failed to meet the requirements under CCP 473(b) to obtain relief from default, as Dixie did not provide specific facts demonstrating mistake, inadvertence, surprise or excusable neglect. Medical Marijuana Inc. also argued that Dixie made misstatements in its application and that there is no good cause to grant the relief sought.
The document discusses input tax credit provisions under the GST law, including definitions, availability, utilization, and reversal of credits. Key points include: input tax credit allows avoiding tax cascading and is credited to an electronic ledger; credits must be claimed within a year and by September filing for the previous fiscal year; availability requires tax invoices, goods/service receipt, tax payment, and return filing; utilization follows a set order of taxes (IGST first, then CGST/SGST); and credits are reversed if goods are partly used for non-business purposes or not received back from job workers on time.

This letter from several health organizations urges the FDA to use its authority to require changes in cigarette design and composition to reduce health risks. It cites evidence from the recent Surgeon General's report that cigarettes today are more dangerous than in the past due to intentional product design changes by tobacco companies, causing increased lung cancer risks. The letter calls on the FDA to mandate changes to reverse this harm, in line with its statutory mandate to protect public health.

A greenhouse in Warren County is at the center of that debate. People living around the Edible Garden plant say it was fine when the company started growing organic vegetables. They're worried about what growing marijuana there will do to their community. The petition clearly states the position of some Brookfield Glen residents in White Township, Warren County. They oppose the legalization and production of marijuana in the Garden State. This is a horror," said Rita Foti, organizer of the petition. "Somebody wants to turn the growth of marijuana into a healthy cash crop. Fred and Rita Foti caught wind of the possible plan after seeing news reports that owners of Edible Garden Greenhouse on Route 519 want to start a marijuana farm if recreational use of the drug is legalized in Trenton.
This study investigated whether cannabidiol could protect against acetaminophen-induced liver damage in mice. Mice were given a toxic dose of acetaminophen to induce liver injury. Some mice were also treated with cannabidiol. Acetaminophen caused increased liver enzymes and oxidative stress. However, cannabidiol treatment significantly reduced these effects and liver damage. The results suggest cannabidiol has antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties that protect the liver from acetaminophen toxicity.
Title: Use of Italian zeolites for purification and upgrading of biogas from organic municipal wastes and olive mill effluents, with the prospect of a re-entry into the national grid. Autors: Ettore Guerriero, Francesco Petracchini, Valerio Paolini, Alessandro Bencini, Serena Drigo, Ilaria Bientinesi.

Our research is part of the project BIO GAME, whose general target is to promote the market and the distribution of biomethane. The activity consists in the development, the validation and the optimization of a small-scale and economically sustainable biogas purification, through the experimental use of natural zeolites taken from processing wastes of Lazios tuffs. Regarding the production of biogas, the project focuses on the development of the organic fraction of municipal solid waste and olive mill effluents, stimulating a virtuous management of organic residues and taking advantage of their great potential energy.
From previous experiments, conducted by the Institute for Atmospheric Pollution Research of the National Council of Researches (CNR IIA), it was observed that certain types of tuff can simultaneously sequester the CO2 and other contaminants present at low concentration, in addition to acting as a powerful dehydrating agent. The activity is to employ tuffs in the technique of pressure swing adsorption (PSA): in fact, synthetic zeolites (very expensive) have been used for the adsorption of CO2 in some plant solutions. Natural zeolites may be used both for the adsorption of carbon dioxide and for the abatement of hydrogen sulphide instead of coal, generally used for these purposes. Usually, the coal is regenerated: this results in a reduction of efficiency in abatement of siloxanes and other volatile organic compounds. Tuffs wastes are available in large amounts at low prices, so they allow the elimination of the regeneration phase. Furthermore, they are able to effectively adsorb ammonia: therefore, after having been enriched, they can be disposed on an agricultural land, increasing its productivity. Indeed, the use of tuff in soils is already a common practice, since it has an effect of slow release both of irrigation water and nitrogen fertilizer.
The project allows to identify a new methodology for the management and energy recovery from organic wastes, and to develop the distributed production of biomethane. In this way it will be possible to increase the independence from centralized energy systems and from fossil fuels. Along with an increase in the security of energy supply, it will result in a reduction of greenhouse gases emissions and a strengthening of the competitiveness of Lazios and Italian oil industry, together with an employment growth.
