This document describes a new solar panel called CoolPV that produces both electricity and heat for pools.
CoolPV combines photovoltaic modules and thermal collectors into a single unit to maximize energy output from a roof. It provides over 50% more annual energy production compared to solar panels or solar thermal alone. CoolPV allows homeowners to power their home and heat their pool with the sun.
