THE TEACH ACT Copyrights law gives educators separate set of rights in addition to fair use The Teach act became into law in the late in 2002 The Act gives teacher right to perform and display works and copies The Teach Act Section 110(2) does not cover everyone it only applies to accredited nonprofit educational institutions. some restrictions in the digital delivery of supplemental reading, viewing, or listening materials

GETTING PERMISSION Get permission before using any material Contact the author or the Publisher Copyright owner might not be the original owner Make sure that the person giving you permission is authorized to do so Get your permission in writing It may be difficult to find the original owner especially when dealing with historical photographs, architectural drawings Even though you go through all the steps you may not be able figure out whom to ask or the owner may not respond
