Copyswede manages rights for simultaneous and unaltered retransmission, private copying levies, and educational recordings. It represents numerous Swedish author and performer rights organizations. Under the Extended Collective License in Swedish copyright law, Copyswede licenses certain uses like broadcasting, internal company use, educational copying, and cable retransmission. It collects and distributes private copying levies and retransmission fees to rights holders. The ECL allows licensing and compensation even for non-member rights holders.
