  • #5: Makingmiraculous leaps constantly putting them way ahead of the competition
  • #6: In 1949 dairy queen introduced the milkshake
  • #7: In 1951 the banana split appeared on the menu
  • #8: In 1953 dairy queen was no longer held down by the limitations of being in a single country
  • #9: They now had their foot in the door and became permanent residence of
  • #10: Canada
  • #11: Throughout the years, dairy queen constantly grew showing people there was no limit in what they can accomplish
  • #12: The first national TV commercial, Live a Little, is aired in 1966
  • #13: In 1972 first Dairy Queen store opens in Japan
  • #14: In 1989 Dairy Queen ranked Americas numbertreat chain
  • #15: And in 1991 first Dairy Queen opens in Mexico
  • #16: By 2001 The first Dairy Queen Grill and Chill restaurant opened in Tennessee.
  • #17: In the year 1984 Dairy Queen felt as though it was time to give back to the people that helped them get where they are today
  • #18: So they became proud sponsors of the Childrens Miracle Network
  • #19: Dairy Queen participates in many Children's Miracle Network fundraisers
  • #20: by collecting spare change
  • #21: And selling paper miracle balloons
  • #22: But the biggest way Dairy Queen has contributed to Childrens Miracle Network is their yearly event called miracle treat day
  • #23: A portion of all the proceeds made on blizzard sales that day, help benefits your local childrens hospital
  • #24: In the year 2009, approximately 4.5 million dollars was made from blizzard proceeds alone
  • #25: Then throughout the years, the gross in sales increased by 50% thanks to popular social media such as
  • #26: Facebook and
  • #27: twitter
  • #28: Dairy Queen and Childrens Miracle Network are a perfect fit
  • #29: There are also many other ways that Dairy Queen gives back to the community, such as
  • #30: Supporting scholastic achievements for students
  • #31: Offering opportunities for tours of the restaurant
  • #32: Teaching them about cleanliness and hard work
  • #33: As well as providing discount cards for students in high school or college
  • #34: Dairy Queen employees volunteered for the feed my starving children initiative during the Haiti relief program
  • #35: Which was stationed at a Dairy Queen branch in Chanhassen, Minnesota
  • #36: Feed my starving children is a non profit, christian organization committed to feeding gods children in body and spirit
  • #37: In only 2 days
  • #38: They packed a miraculous total of 78,336 meals for families affected by the storm
  • #39: And also made large financial donations to the same organization
  • #40: Dairy Queen is very generous and loves to give to their customers
  • #41: Community
