This document compares the installation requirements and costs of a concrete retaining wall to those of a Neptune retaining wall system. A concrete wall takes significantly longer to install at 29 days compared to 10 days for the Neptune system. The cost of installing a 10m section of concrete wall is over £44,000 while the Neptune system costs £13,030, a savings of over £31,000. The Neptune system also has a lower environmental impact than concrete and can be more easily dismantled at the end of its 75 year lifespan.
