An introductionAn introduction
Counseling?
Counseling is a psychological help which can be
given outside of the agency. In counseling, no
solid help is provided. Only guidance is given to
solve ones problem.
Counseling aims at enabling individuals to solve
present problems to prepare themselves for
future tasks, to attain higher standards of
efficiency and well-being and to develop personal
resources for growth.

CounselingCounseling
Counseling is essentially a process in which the
counselor assists the counselee to make
interpretations of facts relating to a choice,
plan, or adjustment which he needs to make.
It is the face to face situation in which one
person helps the second person to face,
perceive, clarify, solve and resolve
adjustment problem.
It is warm, permissive, safe, understanding but
limited social relationship within which
therapist and patient discuss the affective
behaviour of the latter.
