Why merge or augment
course sites?
Problem
1. Multiple course sites on
CaneLink
2. Want one (combined)
course site on
Blackboard
Examples
1. Multiple sections (different
times/rooms)
2. Co-taught sections (graduate
and undergraduate)
3. Co-listed sections (different
department codes)
Solution
Combine into one site with:
A. Hidden original sites
(MERGE) (everything in
combined site)
B. Visible original sites
(AUGMENT) (shared items in
combined site, individual items
in original sites)
(MERGE is most common solution)
How to request sites be
merged or augmented
Action
1. Submit email to
blackboardhelp@miami.edu
2. Provide course site details
3. Use “Course Merge” or
