Gavin worked for IMC Geophysical and co-managed the survey department. He proved
himself to be technically competent, and a clear communicator to senior managers and
the company client rep. Gavin's particular strengths were in AutoCAD charting and
presenting daily production progress to department heads in an accurate graphical
manner. Gavin is a thoroughly capable, enthusiastic and efficient man-manager, a
people-person, with an easy going nature. Given the right opportunities Gavin will be
able to progress to more senior management levels.
Terry Wise IMC-Tesla Senior Surveyor.
With a strong background in land, marine and airborne remote seismic sensing and
survey and proven competence at management levels, I am seeking opportunities to
develop my abilities and experience, which will enable me to progress to senior
managerial roles for national and international projects.
My most recent contract position has been for Terraseis in Iraq as a permit manager,
(holiday cover) which involved organising six permit men and two community relations
officers, negotiating permissions and settlement to land owners affected by seismic
operations. Before that I worked for GallegoTechnic as a land surveyor using Trimble
GPS and ArcGIS mapping software for 2D vibroseismic survey in France, which was a
temporary contract, but still on their books for further ork as and when available.
Prior to this I was with NPCC Abu Dhabi (through Tide-Resourcing), this involved GPS
survey and CAD mapping for oil field services.
Prior to this I was with BLOM Aerofilms, (through Tide-Resourcing), project managing a
3D Lidar laser survey of land and marine environments in Finland and Sweden. This
was a high profile UN funded research program and at the completion of the project the
client rep gave me a glowing recommendation. I will continue to be on Tide? books for
further contract work, unless further opportunities arise.
Prior to this I worked for IMC Geophysical as an assistant survey manager on a 2D land
seismic crew in Uganda performing site surveys through jungle, swamp and national
park. Duties included providing the drilling department with work schedules and maps;
meeting all the client rep's daily requirements and giving regular reports to senior
management on the survey department's progress. I also have two years experience
with geomatic survey companies involved in construction and CAD mapping.
For your immediate contractual consideration I am willing to start work immediately.
Please find attached a copy of my CV detailing my contact details, qualifications and
employment history.
Yours sincerely, Gavin Cox
