There are hundreds of cookware products available on the market today, made
from a huge variety of materials. While many of us may assume that they would
not be for sale unless they were safe, this is often sadly not the case. Materials
such as plastic, Teflon and aluminum can all leach toxins into food.

Even stainless steel is not always
safe, as it often contains a nickel alloy.
There are several safe materials you
can choose to prevent harmful toxins
from entering your meals through the
cooking process.
Glass
Cook-safe glass will not release any
toxins during the cooking process.
However, you have to be careful to
heat glass cookware evenly, as there
is a chance it could break. Always use
the correct sized burner for the pot to
prevent damage.
Iron
Iron cookware may not be suitable
for everyone as it is very heavy and
takes longer to heat it. It can also be
expensive if you buy new. However,
iron cookware lasts for decades, is
easy to clean and almost impossible to
damage.
Ceramic
Ceramic baking dishes are typically
relatively inexpensive and easy to
find. Pots and pans may be harder to
source and cost a little more.
