The document provides photos and descriptions of various retail stores, focusing on their interior designs, lighting, displays, and aesthetics. It notes dramatic mannequin poses in a clothing store, realistic daylighting and a feeling of wealth in one store but poor lighting and lack of decoration in another. It also describes a technology store overwhelmed with LCD TV options, a fast food restaurant selling chicken and desserts interactively, and a bookstore using wall illustrations to indicate sections.
2. Shop window for Pull&Bear
- This reminds an old movie in sepia tones.
- Tells that Fall has arrived.
- Classical casual clothes for men and women
3. A detail from inside.
Note the dramatic gestures in all the
mannequins
Warm and dim lighting enhances the
dramatic atmosphere
4. Another store selling clothes and overpriced
home accesorries.
These umbrellas remind a modern arts
museum. A well choice for a store selling
fancy decorative items.
Decorative items, furnitures and clothes are
also exhibited side by side in this store.
They sell a lifestyle.c
5. Same store, a different shot. (sorry, I was
avoiding securities)
This place on the background was actualy
more interesting than you see here in this
picture. Its the place for cash registers.
On the background there is a very realistic
daylight. Great lighting in this store. Feels
like a wealthy home.
6. In this store however, lighting is terrible.
Its too bright and plain. No decoration
either.
When you enter this store you understand
that this place is all about selling products
in low prices.
There are those large SALE banners
everywhere. Maybe they are the
decorations. This store is in Turkey and its
not an English speaking country.
7. This is a technology store. When you
enter this store all you see is a sea of LCD
TVs.
8. More LCD TVs at another cornet of the
store. There are at least 100 other TVs
outside this frame.
I think there is a problem here. Number of
options are overwhelming. I cannot
imagine one comparing TVs in this store.
Its almost impossible to buy anything.
9. Same tech store.
But their store designing approach is just
the opposite for this section.
All of these headphones are the same. Its
too easy to choose this time
10. This is a fast food restaurant selling
chicken.
I like its design. The window at he center
is full of attractive desserts.
The woman on the right is taking the
orders. She is not at the other side of a
counter. She interacts with people passing
by.
Note the writing in Arabic letters. This is
something extraordinary. The reason is
that there are too many Arabic tourists in
this particular mall.
11. I frequently visit this
bookstore
but this was the first time I
noticed that all the walls
have these
illustrations, indicating the
theme of that section.
