Guiding Principles Take our AF further toward excellence in every discipline¡­none more important than another Reemphasize that everyone is a leader Everyone is responsible for their individual performance and for the performance of their team Envision a ¡°big tent¡± AF focused on warfighting excellence as never before 3
How do we do it? Focus on better managing high stress and process-focused career fields as a first priority Reemphasize compliance in our routines and inspection processes Generally get back to the basics of precision and reliability that have sustained our reputation for decades This is about leadership¡­from me and throughout the force, it¡¯s about teamwork and consistency of performance 4
Key Actions We will drive performance We will look hard at third rail issues We will be visible, approachable and inclusive We will be devastating on poor performers and personal misconduct We will partner with Sec Donley and his successor to stop the slide and regain our stature as professionals and as uncompromising Joint warfighters 5
