This document outlines a culminating project that assigns students to groups and has them research and create a word cloud about one of three historical figures: Cesar Chavez, Mary McLeod Bethune, or Paul Revere. Students are instructed to use "lino it" to individually brainstorm descriptive words for their assigned historical figure, then collaborate as a group to select descriptions to include in a word cloud created with Wordle or Tagxedo before posting the link online for comments.

Cesar Chavez, Mary McLeod Bethune, and Paul Revere
I. Everyone has been put into one of three groups. In the Groups tab, you will
see which group you are assigned to for this project. Find out which group
you are in, what your role is, and make contact with each other to complete
this assignment.
II. Each group has been assigned one of the three historical figures from this
unit. You need to use lino it to brainstorm descriptions about your
historical figure. It is IMPORTANT that you put your name on each of your
descriptions so it is evident that everyone has participated in the
brainstorming session. It is best to use one word adjectives for this
assignment.
III. As a group, decide which descriptions you want to use (you may choose to
use all of them) from the brainstorming session and turn them into a word
cloud by using Wordle or Tagxedo.
IV. Post the link to your word cloud in the discussion board for everyone to view
and comment on for the final part of the project.
