Paloma moves with her family from Spain to London. She struggles to adjust to her new school and life in England. Paloma makes a new friend, Alexa, but is upset when some of her classmates turn against her. Paloma learns that her parents' marriage is struggling due to her father's alcoholism. By opening up to Alexa and others about her family problems, Paloma's relationships improve. They looked at each other in surprise and Alexa put her arm round Paloma. They told her

popular boy like Steve was paying her so much attention and he was a fantastic
