Jim Halling

Jim Halling is the founder and President of Workforce Insights, LLC, an advisory services group that supports
organizations in developing and strengthening capabilities on the topics of workforce strategy, management and
measurement. Jim advises senior business leaders on business strategies including linkage between business strategy
and workforce strategy, workforce planning and design, measuring and reporting the ROI on workforce activities,
merger integration, workforce data and analytics, developing / executing effective recruitment strategies and
contingent workforce strategy. He combines unique perspectives on leveraging the use of workforce data with his
broad business experience to assist clients in identifying and implementing opportunities to improve workforce
efficiency and effectiveness. Jim is an accomplished speaker on workforce related topics and speaks at conferences
sponsored by organizations including SHRM, Saratoga, Forbes, Mercer, The Conference Board and the Financial
Executives Institute.

In December 2009, Jim formed The Group of Nine, a collaboration of nine individuals with seasoned experience in
numerous facets of workforce management and Human Resources functionality. Each member works as an
independent consultant or in collaboration with other Group of Nine members. Expertise includes sourcing,
recruitment, compensation, executive compensation, leadership development, coaching, talent development,
workforce strategy and analytics.

Prior to founding Workforce Insights, Jim was a principal with Mercer Human Resource Consultings Global
Workforce Strategies business. For three years prior, Jim was the founder and leader of an enterprise workforce
assessment consulting offering for a multi-national workforce services organization. His clients have included AT&T,
American Express, T-Mobile, Sprint, Verizon, FairPoint Communications, Scripps Networks, Accenture, the former
BellSouth, The Coca-Cola Company, Publix, ING, Assurant Solutions and the State of Georgia. An accountant by
training, he has held various financial and general management positions including eighteen years with Norrell
Corporation (now Randstad) focusing on recruitment, contingent staffing, acquisitions, mergers, outsourcing and
consulting. Prior to his years with Norrell. Jim has a combined eleven years with Simmons Company, Gulf + Western
Industries, and Peat Marwick Mitchell.

Jim graduated from the University of Florida with a BSBA in Accounting and started his career as a Certified Public
Accountant. He has an exceptional record of innovation combined with a diverse business background in finance,
general business and workforce management. Jim brings unique and valuable perspectives to business leaders.
