- 2. SPECIAL PROJECTS ¡ñ Slum experience: As a social worker I have lived in a slum for an entire week and taught English to the children below the poverty line. This project has instilled in me skills like confidence, compassion, time management, punctuality and ownership. ¡ñ Scout Experience: Being the captain of the guides and scouts community (a community that works towards making children socially and morally responsible citizens) I had the opportunity to visit jails and have a one on one discussion with prisoners and listen to their experiences and stories. It is experiences like these that have molded me into a more confident and responsible individual. ¡ñ Internship at the Durham Catholic District School Board: I produced a set of videos for various departments in the organization in order to enhance and build the brand image and publicity of the school board on social media and the organization's website. My videos were also used for their personal presentations during annual meetings. Activities during this internship involved: video shooting, Video interviews, interacting and moulding the interviewees, pre & post editing of the videos using tools and applications like Adobe Premier Pro, Adobe Audition and Adobe Photoshop. Reached out and followed up with various authorities of Schools that belonged to the Catholic School board. Covered a major event known as TEDx for the School board. EMPLOYMENT EXPERIENCE INTERN AT AMAZON Dates: September 2013 to January 2014 Job Title: Senior Customer Service Agent Awarded certificate of appreciation twice in a duration of 4 months.
