Naira Mohamed Kamel is an Egyptian third-year physics student at Alexandria University with a 2.4 CGPA. As part of a research project, she worked on developing an anti-radiation material using black sand to protect against nuclear waste. She has extensive voluntary experience coordinating lectures, scientific societies, and publications to promote science awareness. Her skills include Arabic, English, Microsoft Office, communication, organization, and writing poems and short stories. She was also an accomplished basketball player from 2005 to 2013.

Naira Mohamed Kamel Smoha, Alexandria, Egypt nairamohamed623@gmail.com +201204088155 Egyptian EDUCATION 3rd Year - Faculty of Science, Alexandria University, Egypt (2013 Present) Major in physics with minor in chemistry CGPA of 2.4 RESEARCH ACTIVITY Anti-radiation Material Using Black Sand The idea is to protect human from the nuclear waste radiation using black sand. Zircon was chosen as a material but were still working on that. Coordinating with Zewail City Friends organization, we had sessions on how to make a research and writing a scientific paper. At the end of the project my team and I made a presentation about the research and we had applause from our supervisors. VOLUNTARY WORK Lecture Team Activity (2015 Present) - Co-founder and HR head: the activity is designed to promote and enhance the students skills. I gave sessions about communication & negotiation skills, and we continue to add more values to the students. Society of Physics Students (SPS) Alexandria Branch (2015) Increase students awareness of physics and career opportunities, as well as developing their soft skills. - Co-founder and secretary: assisting the president in running the chapter. My job was to document all files and events to present in the annual report. I did also word processing, and responding to email enquiries. League of Young Masters (LYM) Alexandria Library (2015) - Coordinator: weekly presentations in scientific topics supervised by Alexandria Library. My duty was to facilitate the work between the program organizing committee and the audience. Safwa Science Family Faculty of Science Student Chapter (2013 2015) Initiated by LYM to spread science awareness among the students and help develop their skills. - Head of scientific committee: responsible for brain storming, managing monthly meetings, and conducting interviews for new members. - Head-vice of scientific committee: responsible for the scientific magazine, and as a deputy head. Achievements Launching two issues of SafwaPedia scientific magazine Recruiting new members to the committee Volunteer at Resala Charity Organization (2012 2013)
SKILLS Language Arabic and English. Computer - Good user of Microsoft Office package (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) Personal Skills - As part of my voluntary work I managed to develop my presentation and communication skills through planning and organizing events. It gave me the ability to work under stress. Sports - Basketball player at Olymbic Alexandria Club and Alexandria National Team (2005 2013) - Had a lot of medals and honouring certificates. Writing poems and short stories.
